Snow Hill railway station was reopened in 1987, a new building on the site of the former Great Western Railway station. The tram stop occupies a space next to the city end of platform 3, at the end of what was platform 4—the tram line has replaced the railway track that once served platform 4. Interchange is possible here to train services to Birmingham Moor Street, Stourbridge, Solihull, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Banbury and London Marylebone.
