Ampere Way stop serves industrial and retail parks on the western edge of Croydon. The most notable destination served by this stop is the large IKEA furniture store, and for this reason the stop was named 'IKEA Ampere Way' between October 2006 and March 2008. The store is built on part of the site of Croydon B power station, and is identifiable from miles away by two chimneys which are all that remain of the power station.
